This post is a try out how a blog will be on our homesite. I have no idea how it will work, but I follow an old pedagogical principle Learning by doing. Or my favorite quote: Jump in the river and learn to swim!
So welcome to our blog, this is going to be fun. You see, there's a lot of crazy people in our choir and it have never been a single boring day with the members! If you want to know how to survive on a matress on a classroom floor with people all around you, men and women, sleeping, snoring, singing, eating, drinking, talking, yoiking, dressing up, etc etc, you can just call us. We know all about it! But private life? Nope! Or if you want to know how to make time pass while traveling 600 km in a bus, we can tell you that sleeping, snoring, singing, eating, drinking, talking etc etc works good here, too! And private life on the bus? Yes, put your iPod in your ears with our rehearsal CD, sing along on your alto without hearing your own voice. And if you in addition have fresh garlic breath mixed with Norwegian tørrfisk (dried fish) and yesterday's party, I can guarantee it will be good space around you! ( He he he... ) Now, are you ready for take-off with Sámi Jienat? We are ready to sing and yoik you into the clouds! Marie

So good to see that the website are open again.

I love your new page, Marie! In addition to being very informative, it is also written in a funny way. I can just picture all of you right now in that bus. I look forward to seeing your performance during Finn Fest and seeing all of you in Minneapolis later. From your Finnish-American friend Jenni, who is a friend of the Sami people and probably a relative of some of you who have roots from Jukkasjarvi, Vittangi, Pajala and other places of the north of Sweden and Finland. I have some Sami ancestors named Idivuoma, Niia, Kyro, Hetta. I am not a good genealogist but my Stockholm cousin Bjorn made a big family family tree that is so complicated and and written in Swedish so I cannot figure it out. Love and hugs. I hope you are all excited to make your big journey to America.

Thank you! I am glad you like it. I am not very good in English language, and I hope there's not any serious mistakes. Feel free to share our website with your friends. Are there anything missing on the site, that should have been added, explained or linked?
